Abandon My Dreams? Absolutely Not. Here’s Why I’m Taking My Own Advice.

I would hate to be a hypocrite.

You may have noticed I’ve been absent for a few days. I have not decided to quit, far from it. I just decided that perhaps I needed to take a day off.

I had been toying with the idea of having a break for a while, after writing consistently every single day this year and then it kind of just happened naturally, one day turned into two and I soon found that I’d had four days off and I rather enjoyed it.

I am now helping out with a family business a couple of days a week, as well as trying to get my freelancing career off the ground, so that is where my focus has been and probably will be for a while.

I did try and juggle all three each day, but I found myself becoming overwhelmed, so I decided to take some of my own advice and put some self-care in place.

I did not want to be putting out half-assed posts that I didn’t enjoy writing or put any effort into and nor did I want to have another episode of burnout.

I have loved being able to give my full focus to my blog page for all these months, but I don’t earn enough money from it to justify the time I have been putting in. Hopefully, doing what I am doing now will give me additional experience that I can use in the near future.

I will continue to keep writing here. I have decided to keep the weekly intentions and gratitudes, as they are things I am already doing and I will post other content as and when I can.

I will, of course, keep you updated with what I am up to and if there is anything else I have posted that you particularly enjoy and would like to see more of, please do let me know.

I am so grateful for each and every one of you that takes the time to read my posts.

I will leave you with this week’s Song Of The Day Playlist ❤️
