3 Feel Good Things I Am Thankful For This Week

It’s been an interesting week.

I’ve been making a few changes to my daily life and so far, things seem to be working out for the better. I am conscious that, life can change at any point and you never know which way it will go. So whilst things are good, I am going to enjoy them and be grateful for them as much as possible.

Here are some of the things I am grateful for from this week.

A night away with the husband.

The husband and I used a voucher I got for my 40th birthday for an overnight stay at a spa. The weather was beautiful, we had a garden room next to the lake where we sat with a glass of wine in the evening and a cup of tea in the morning. We had relaxing massages and a delicious dinner and despite something unexpected occurring (more on that tomorrow), I felt like I had had a much-needed break.

My new routine.

After planning my working days through October, I found it a lot easier to focus this week. I knew what I was supposed to be doing on what days and I started doing my walks first thing again, now I don’t have those pesky planners to be filled in in the mornings. I’ve been getting straight out for my walks, coming back for a shower, and a cup of earl grey whilst catching up on Married At First Sight, then putting whatever work hat on I need to that day.

Driving to dinner

I had dinner with my friend on Wednesday night. I haven’t been feeling 100% lately, so I said I would drive. I say this a lot and then change my mind at the last minute in favour of having wine, but this week, I didn’t. I almost decided to leave my car there so I could have a good old drink, but then decided against it. We still had a lovely evening and I saved a fortune in cab fares, not to mention the bill!
